The Carle Employee Health Plan with Health Alliance does not require a primary care referral to cover specialty visits.
However, some specialty physician practices may require a referral prior to scheduling an appointment. Please check with your provider to see if a referral is needed.
Preauthorization may be required on some medical services and/or medical equipment in order to be paid as in-network under the health plan.
